Come fulfill your desire to meet alpacas and create memories you can treasure for a lifetime. Meet our alpacas up close, hear interesting stories, learn about them, ask questions, feed them, and take lots of photos. You will be amazed at how different each alpaca is, and what unique personalities they have. There are few things that are as cute and as soft as an alpaca.
After your barn visit, we welcome you to our store to see the fabulous things that are created from alpaca. Under the label of Laslyn Alpaca, Sustainable Fashion we create most of the products ourselves using our own herd’s fibre. Our items are tagged with information about which alpaca was sheared to create that wonderfully warm and soft item. We carry everyone's favourite alpaca items - socks, insoles, dryer balls and stuffed toys, along with one of a kind hats, mitts, shawls, scarves, rugs and more.
Any time of year is great to visit the alpacas, but summer is the best. We are expecting 15 babies (called crias) in Summer 2020, starting in early June right through to mid August. There is nothing as sweet and soft as a cria. Be sure to bring your camera, the crias are very photogenic.
We now offer different options for tours; you can pick the one that suits you the best and book it online. At the present time we have The Private Alpaca Tour, and The Alpaca Lovers Farm Tour. Appointments are required for all tours.
Please visit our webpage for the most up-to-date information on tours.
All tours take place in the "girls" barn, where our moms and babies live. We are not out in the sun, snow, or rain; however, we do recommend that you dress appropriately for the temperature. The floors are very clean, you don't need to worry about your shoes getting farm dirt on them, but we do recommend closed toe shoes. The barn where the tour is held is fully wheelchair accessible.
When you have completed your farm tour there are still many things to do in Grey County. There are some terrific Bed & Breakfasts nearby - you could make it a mini-vacation. We are close to several waterfalls, local eateries, art galleries, hiking trails. We have guides and county maps available to help you get there.
You'll need more than a day to Play in Grey !
For the comfort and safety of our alpacas please do not bring your dogs.
