Mission
The Rogue Nation's Department of Agriculture has entered into a strategic alliance with Heritage Hop Growers, the Coleman Family. The Rogue Hop Farm is on the Willamette River, south of Independence, Oregon on the former John Haas Alluvial Hop Farm. Seven varieties are planted on 42 acres. The hops will be harvested and baled on the farm. There are over 55,000 square feet of hop harvesting equipment, osprey nests, a pond full of large-mouth bass, and corn and grass fields, on this dead-end road farmland just outside of haunted Independence, Oregon.
ROGUE FARMS HOP YARD TOURS: The Rogue Department of Agriculture has educational tours of the farm, where guests learn about the planting, growing, and harvesting of Rogue hops.
Rogue Hop 'N Bed
The Hop 'N Bed is a 100+ year old farm house with 6-bedrooms just steps from the Willamette River, with views of the hop fields from the back porch. The Chatoe Rogue Tasting Room is across the driveway, where our G.Y.O. Certified Chatoe Rogue series are available for tasting. The farm house is decorated with historical pictures from the Hop and Heritage Museum. The hopyard, located on the former John I Hauss Alluvial Farm, was once home to the world's largest hop trellis.
Chatoe Rogue Tasting Room
The Rogue tasting room at the Hopyard in Independence, Oregon is 468 square feet of proof that we're about World Class beer, World Class Packaging, Community Integration, and Unique Thunder. This is the birth place of our Chatoe Rogue series -- sample the ales on the deck with a view of the hops, try on a Rogue Farm hickory shirt, see 3 liter bottles made to celebrate Oregon's Sesquicentennial and historical bottles for each Rogue pub location. Witness and taste our commitment to saving the Terroir of Hops and Barley 1 acre at a time by growing our own.
