Our mission is to connect sustainable agriculture practices, our family history, and our customers by sharing the family farm experience and serving as an example of healthy land stewardship while providing high quality ethically raised meats.
Just a short, gorgeous 20 minute drive from Asheville, NC and 30 minutes from Black Mountain, the farm store is a great way to see first hand the landscape where your food is grown and to meet the people who make it happen. Our Farm Store is open Tuesday-Saturday from 10-5 and Sunday from 12-5 year around!
We have u-pick organic blueberries, blackberries, red raspberries, black raspberries, and asparagus. During apple season (September and October) we are open 7 days a week from 9-6. Come spend the day with your family, wind through the corn maze, choose your perfect pumpkin from the patch, hold a baby chick, fill your bag with apples, picnic by the creek and enjoy many other farm activities.
We offer private and group farm tours with owner Jamie Ager in addition to our quarterly open houses.
At Hickory Nut Gap Farm you will find animals raised in their natural environment. Pigs outdoors, cows on pasture eating grass and clover, multiple species grazing together, drinking fresh spring water and living the good life.

You'll find many local food treasures such as Lusty Monk Mustard, Fire on the Mountain's BBQ sauce, Looking Glass Creamery Cheese, Haw Creek Honey and Imladris Farm Jam. Discover the craft of Maria Pritchards jewlery and Farmer Janes goat milk soap among other local pottery and handmake silk scarves! Come see for yourself the food and crafts grown in our area.
