Stonehaven Farm is a small farm located in southeastern Massachusetts 5 minutes from Buzzards Bay. We have flocks of 20 sheep, 35 chickens, and 10 ducks. All our animals are heritage breeds and raised naturally -- no antibiotics or hormones -- and are primarily grass fed. Guests are welcome to help care for the animals and harvest vegetables and fruit from the garden. We're happy to share information on raising poultry and sheep and tips on cooking grass fed animals.
Guest accommodations include a large suite with cathedral ceiling in the bedroom, a small balcony overlooking the river, and a new bath with jacuzzi tub. Children may stay either in the main suite or in a smaller room just down the hall.
Farm breakfasts are included in the room rate. Dinner may be ordered for an extra charge and will be made from locally sourced food.
From Providence Rhode Island, take Route 195 East to exit 10 (Route 88/Horseneck Beach). Go to the 4th traffic light on Route 88. Turn left and go to the bottom of the hill to a 4 way stop. Turn right onto Drift Road. Go 2 miles. We are on the left (1506 Drift Road) with a big Fresh Eggs sign.
