Our gardens were developed as a labor of love and as a haven for birds, butterflies and other garden creatures. We have opened our gardens to the public in the hopes that visitors might feel free to take a moment or two out of their busy lives to stop and smell the roses and lavender, observe nature and perhaps learn something here they can apply in their own gardens. We love to share our gardening and landscaping knowledge with others and often learn from our visitors as much as we share. We have used the many rocks and boulders on our land in our gardens and have recycled lumber from old corrals for arbors and raised planters. An old castiron bathtub, formerly a cattle watering trough, has been recycled into a water garden. We are constantly experimenting with various plants to see which varieties will do well in our climate. We have labeled many of our plants so visitors can see examples of trees, flowers and shrubs they might want to grow in their own yards. We believe in the benefits of using lavender in our daily lives and of having fresh and dried flowers in our home, so we have made these products available in our gift shop. We love growing our own flowers and making either fresh or dried flower arrangements and using herbs in our craft items. We plan to harvest seeds from our flowers which will be available to purchase. We are growing vegetables, grapes, citrus and stone fruits and any excesses will be available for purchase. Eventually classes on flower arranging, crafting with herbs, and gardening will be held, and plants will be available for sale soon. We have u-pick lavender in season and eventually fruits to pick as the orchard matures.
