Patrie's Raspberries on the Prairie is a six acre u-pick and pre-picked red raspberry farm begun in 1990 to provide nutritional food to ND consumers and a superb nature tourism outing. Within the farmyard shelterbelt and planted into a fertile old feed yard the Patries have planted 2 acres of summer-fruiting Boyne and 4 acres of fall- producing Autumn Bliss. Harvest for the Boyne usually begins the middle of July and ends in early August followed by the beginning of the Autumn Bliss which bear fruit until a hard freeze at the end of September.
The Patries have joined the Pride of Dakota marketing program through the ND Dept. of Agriculture, added a commercial kitchen to process jams and have solicited the support of other ND copackers to retail a fine line of raspberry products at their gift shop, trade shows and fairs, and through the internet on ShopND.com and www.patriesraspberries.com.
Patrie's Raspberries is located in central North Dakota just east of Bowdon and south of Highway 200. Our farm is 1/2 mile off of the pavement on County Road 71. Simplified directions are: go 1 mile south and 1/2 mile west from the flashing light at the intersection of Highways 200 and 52.
