Prairie Gardens and Adventure Farm is an award winning 35-acre adventure farm filled with good old-fashioned family fun things to do & family friendly attractions in the Edmonton region. As a fully operational family farm, there is farm fresh produce and over 50 fun family activities including 3 corn mazes, the fun interactive puzzels!
Located in scenic Sturgeon County, it’s just a short 25 minute drive north of Edmonton on HWY 28 (97St.). Since 1956, there have been over 1 million visitors to the farm, an ideal location for your next family outing, school field trip, company picnic or team building retreat! The farm is rustic and unique - just like visitin' Grandpa & Grandma's back in the fifties!
Magical themed festivals and events run from April –December. During July and August, there are U-Pick strawberries & vegetables, plus a fall pumpkin patch with over 40 varieties of pumpkins fresh picked from the fields at the farm. Christmas activities run through November and December.
From May to July, you’ll find unique and beautiful flowering container gardens, hardy fruit trees, and rare perennials, which are on display and for sale in the greenhouse and garden centre. You can also visit our Ghost Town of "Boo"n Accord, and pan for gems at the Lost Lemon Mine.
Enjoy picking sundrenched, sweet Alberta strawberries from mid July. Finish up the u-pick season with a Fairy Berry Festival the long weekend of August. Fairies and storytellers spin a web on enchantment while you browse the wares from other farms and area artisans. Enjoy barbequed hot dogs, fresh strawberry shortcake and sakatoon berry sundaes from the Garden Cafe amongst the flowers.
Create memories every weekend in October during the Haunted PUmpkin Festival. Pick out the perfect pumpkin,build a silly scarecrow, have a blast with our famour Pumpkin Cannon, "Get lost" in a maze, giggle at a Scarecrow puppet show, and then scream your way through our frightful haunted Halloween farmhouse. Fresh pumpkin pie and hearty homemade chili are on hand to fortify the spirit.
25 km north of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, a great stop to include if you're travelling through to Jasper or the Yukon. Take 97th Street north out of Edmonton (It becomes Highway 28) Follow HWY 28 to Bon Accord. Continue past Bon Accord 1 km, Turn left (North) on to Lily Lake Road. Travel 2 km, on the right.
