The farm's original source of income came from cattle and tobacco. With recent developments, tobacco is no longer a feasible option; however, we wanted to continue to utilize the land in a farming capacity. Thus, the lavender idea was born.
We planted our first field in June 2005. Our first harvest came a year later in June 2006. It was an encouraging first year with a very good harvest. We have opened a small gift shop to showcase the many products we make from our lavender as well as opening the farm for tours.
Over 20 varieties have been added to our variety bed for visitors to see and smell. Colors include white, pink, yellow, red, and all shades of purple!
Workshops for making a lavender wand or lavender sachets are available. Please call to set a date.
We are also available for speaking engagements.
