Located in the Idaho Panhandle, inside the Bitterroot Mountain Range, Hidden Creek Ranch sits on 570 acres of land, adjacent to another 225,000 acres of national forest, providing our guests with an almost unlimited number of trails to ride or hike during their stay.
John Nederhood homesteaded part of the valley that is now Hidden Creek Ranch in 1904. His original house still exists and is in use on the property today. Although the ranch has been used for a variety of purposes over the years, including a vacation retreat for William Randolph Hearst, its primary use for the past 40 years has been as a dude ranch. In its early years the ranch was part of the original Bar BQ Ranch which belonged to Lloyd Jones and was among the first dude ranches in this area. Evan Jones, Lloyd's brother, still lives at what used to be part of the Bar BQ ranch before the property was divided.
Guests stay in comfortable, authentic log cabins, each equipped with a private bath and decorated in a Native American motif. All cabins, nestled in the hillside, have porches with a view overlooking our valley and timber ridged mountains. Situated in the center of our guest cabins, our 7,000 square foot Lodge is the ideal gathering place and dining area for our guests.
This all-inclusive ranch vacation provides guests with the use of our 16' x 42' heated pool, two hot tubs overlooking the valley, fully equipped fitness center, free wireless internet access, a library filled with books and board games, free guest laundry room, and a fully stocked trout pond as well as a swimming pond with a zip line.
