Samascott Orchards is a family owned and operated farm that started in the early 1900’s in Kinderhook, New York. Initially a dairy operation, the farm developed into an orchard in the 1960s, starting with a pick-your-own (PYO) business. Today, it is the largest PYO farm in Columbia County offering more than 200 acres of fruits and veggies open to the public.
The entire farm spans 1,000 acres where over 72 varieties of apples and hundreds of varieties of fruits and vegetables are grown. There are also free-range, hormone and antibiotic-free Angus cows, pigs, goats and chickens.
The farm is open for PYO customers June - October, everyday 8 am - 6 pm. Call or check our website for picking availability.
There is a farm store on-site to purchase fruits, veggies as well as homemade hard ice cream and apple cider.
