Washington County, Oregon is located west of Portland and is about an hour and a half east of the coast. The County’s 50-mile Vineyard and Valley Scenic Tour Route is a driving tour through lush agricultural lands and bucolic communities, showcasing Pacific Northwest wineries, vineyards and farms. Many farms offer hands-on experiences including u-pick, a goat cheese making class, wine tastings, small country stores and fresh baked pies or milkshakes.
There are lavender, berry, apple and hazelnut farms as well as alpaca and goat farms.
There are annual lavender, apple and strawberry festivals.
