Ivanhoe Small Growers Farmers Market
Located in the heart of Kansas City in the Ivanhoe neighborhood, this market (which will celebrate its second year in 2013) serves as a local food source for the residents who reside in this food desert. The majority of the produce sold is grown right in the neighborhood by urban farmers/gardeners who take pride in their pesticide-free fruits and vegetables. The market is open on Friday's beginning the third Friday in June from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.
