Set in the pastoral hills of Pomfret, Vermont, Cloudland Farm offers visitors an authentic farm experience. The spectacular views on the four-mile drive up the scenic Cloudland Road are just the beginning. At the farm, visitors are free to take photographs of the farmland and any ofthe animals that may be in view. This may include our black Angus cattle and calves, horses, laying hens, Cornish-cross meat chickens, turkeys, the barn cats or the farm dog, Roo. For those who enjoy hiking, the Appalachian Trail runs through the farm property and is open to hikers every day of the year.
If you would like to take something home with you from the farm, the Cloudland Farm Country Market offers for sale Cloudland’s delicious natural Angus beef steaks, ground beef, roasts, beef sausages, beef jerky, and pickles. The Country Market also offers jams, maple syrup, bread boards, and hand-turned wooden bowls, all of which are made right here in our Vermont neighborhood.
We are very excited to offer on-farm dining--sumptuous meals in a relaxed atmosphere--on Thursdays and Saturdays here at Cloudland Farm. We have a new post and beam building made from Eastern White Pine that was harvested from the farm. If you love eating locally-raised, healthy foods, we have a unique dining experience to share with you. Whether sitting on the porch before your meal or dining near the fireplace, your visit will be filled with the views and peaceful sounds of the farm where the delicious food you enjoy was raised.
Chef Nick Mahood prepares dishes made from ingredients that are grown right here at Cloudland and from other local organic farms. Absolutely everything we serve is made from scratch. The evening's meal is selected by the chef using seasonal ingredients and will include beef, pork, chicken or turkey grown at Cloudland. If a member of your party requires a vegetarian entree or has other dietary restrictions, please mention that when making your reservation. All meals are fixed price, and Chef Nick's menu selection for each dinner will be posted here at the beginning of each week.
BYOB if you'd like wine or beer before or during your meal.
