Cloud Hollow Farm is a state of the art farm set right on the Medomak River in Midcoast Maine, owned and operated by the father-daughter team of Bob & Erin Weintraub. The goal of our breeding program is to produce alpacas with elite fleece characteristics (fineness, uniformity, brightness, and density), sound conformation, good temperaments, and excellent genetics while having a minimal negative impact on the environment. In order to accomplish this, we carefully selected our herd from some of the best farms in the country, all of which are either champions themselves or come from genetics known to produce champions. We use renewable energy from the sun and wind to help power our barn, and the majority of our equipment runs on clean biodiesel.
In addition to our alpacas, we raise many species of bamboo for use as timber, food or for landscaping. We added Runner & Welsh Harlequin ducks in 2010 to help control biting insect & slug populations.
